St Johns Anglican Church

Recently refurbished, St John’s Anglican Church is located on the corner of Rata and Ayr Streets in Ohakune. An active place of worship, it’s also a beautifully classic setting for couples wanting a traditional church ceremony or a ceremony of faith.

The interior features wood panelling throughout, high-pitched ceilings with beautiful arch details, stained-glass windows and carpeted floors. Our stunning celebrant, Rev Amilie Paynter, is available to facilitate your ceremony, with her husband, Rev Luke Paynter, also available on special request.

Compact kitchen facilities and bathrooms are also available.

St John’s is a beautiful wet-weather option that we often use as a backup when the weather isn’t playing the game.
